William T. Moore (American, mid-19th century). Salt-glazed stoneware crock depicting a blue butterfly along one side, ca. 19th century. Of cylindrical form with applied lug handles. Stamped along the rim.
Height: 12 in x width: 12 in x diameter: 11 in.
Condition: Wear commensurate with age. There is a hairline crack extending downward from the rim. There are scattered losses to the glaze throughout. Some areas of discoloration and toning throughout, possibly signs of restoration. Wear to the footrim.
