Michiel van Musscher (Dutch, 1645-1705). Ink and brown wash on paper painting depicting a saint or philosopher, 1679. Signed and dated along the lower right, though it is likely that the signature and date were heightened at a later date or falsified.

Condition: The sheet is toned. There is soiling and foxing throughout the work. There is a small tear along the upper center of the work. There is a light undulation to the sheet. The sheet is floated in frame. The work is mounted to an acidic mat. Framed under glass. Light wear to the frame. Not inspected out of frame.
