Laura Taylor was a student and teaching assistant at the University of North Dakota in the late 1930s. She later became the supervisor of the North Dakota Ceramics Works Progress Administration (WPA) program from 1936 to 1939. Taylor founded Wahpeton Pottery, which would later be named Rosemeade Pottery, in 1940.

Condition: No breaks or losses. Light wear to the footrim.
