Pastel on paper drawing. Dated 1773 (“Anne. Fecit. 1773") lower left recto. The inscription "Anne. Fecit. 1773" means "Anne. made [this] in 1773.", this inscription then reads "Year made 1773."

Condition: The paper was originally glued to a wood stretcher and has dried and has some flaking.
Mounting the painting this way may have helped to preserve it but it also resulted in allowing
the paper to tear at its most vulnerable point. The result was a long tear at the top where the
paper was not supported by the stretcher. There is also a water stain on the left margin.
Because of the damage the image has been cut out of the stretcher. The remaining part still
shows the date on the bottom left ("Anne. Fecit. 1773"). The is also what appears to be a
smudged signature verso. There is age related loss of vibrancy and color. Inspected out of
the frame.
